Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJACK WILLIAM CASSELL On Saturday April 1, 2000 at the Grace Hospital in Winnipeg, Man., John William Cassell, aged 79 years, beloved husband of Winnifred Cassell, died following a courageous battle with lymphatic cancer. Besides his loving wife Winnie, of 51 years; Jack leaves to cherish his memory, his caring children, Linda, Bill (Ruby), Gord (Melody) and Jack (Janet) nine grandchildren, Amanda, Corey, Ryan, Caitlyn, Brodie, Eric, Kelsea, Megan and Jason who are his honorary pallbearers. He also leaves to mourn his brother Ernie (Marcy) and sister Margaret (Al) of Ontario, nieces and nephews and a multitude of friends and respected customers. Jack was born and raised in Kerrobert, Sask. and moved to Ontario with his family in 1939 to work on the family farm. He joined the Army Reserves during the Second World War. In 1948 he married his wife, Winnie, and has resided in Winnipeg since that time. His long working life was mostly spent as a self employed Cummins Diesel mechanic which was also his passion for living. The family would like to thank Dr. Harris and Dr. Fletcher and all the staff on the fourth floor of the Grace Hospital for their care and kindness. Memorial service will be held at Kirkfield Park United Church, 472 Kirkfield, Thursday, April 6 at 1:30 p.m. with Reverend Colin Peterson officiating. Interment will be held in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 2B7. "MR.
