MARIA CLARA DA SILVA October 13, 1913 - April 3, 2000 Peacefully, with family by her side, Maria Clara Da Silva passed away at the River East Personal Care Home in Winnipeg. Maria Clara was a cherished and respected mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed. She loved to laugh and be surrounded by her family. We will miss her beautiful smile. She was predeceased by her husband Joao Correia Matias and four brothers, Antonio, Jose, Manuel and Joao Da Silva and one sister Maria Da Conceicao Da Silva. She leaves to mourn her son Renato Correia Matias (Maria Aleluia Ferriera Matias) her daughters, Maria Luisa Soares (Manuel Soares), Ervalina Matias Pacheco (Jose Pacheco), and Maria Da Conceicao Matias Cristo; her brothers, Francisco Da Silva (Leticia Da Silva), Armando Da Silva (Irvalina Da Silva), as well as 16 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson, and several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the staff at River East Personal Care Home for all their love and support. Prayers will be said on Wednesday, April 5th at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street at Luxton Avenue. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, April 6 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin Street with Fr. Jose Eduardo Medeiros officiating.
