VIOLET FRANCOISE HALL Peacefully, on Saturday, April 1, 2000 at the Hunter Memorial Hospital with her family at her side, Violet Hall, age 77 years of Petersfield, MB. Violet will be lovingly remembered by her husband Francis; sons, Tracy (Janis), Ted (Pat), Henry (Helen) and David; 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; her brother Herman; sisters, Edna, Ema and Liz, as well as numerous other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her son Aaron; parents, Moses and Ursula; sister Jean; and brothers, Dave, Ted, Albert and Jim. Violet was born on March 9, 1923 in San Clara, MB. She met and married Francis in 1955 living in Winnipeg for six months before moving to Petersfield where she resided until her passing. She had a great love for the outdoors, which included, gardening, berry picking, fishing and hunting. She was also a very talented quilt maker and cook, especially her pies and bread which people would come from Winnipeg to sample them. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and her family always came first. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her. A prayer service will be held on Tuesday, April 4 (tonight) at 7:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 5 at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Georges Anglican Church, Wakefield, MB with Rev. Canon Paul Smith officiating. Interment to follow in the churchyard cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined. If friends so desire, donations can be made in Violets memory to the Canadian Cancer Society. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Hunter Memorial Hospital for their care and compassion shown to Violet.
