ADAM MACKOWIAK Seminarian-Archdiocese of St. Boniface Adam Mackowiak, age 42 years, passed away at the St. Boniface General Hospital on April 2, 2000. Adam was born on December 24, 1957 in Poznan, Poland. He came to Winnipeg in November, 1991. He attained his Master of Library Studies in Poland and in Winnipeg he completed his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and his pre-masters in Religious Studies. In 1999, he entered St. Josephs Seminary in Edmonton to become a priest. He wasnt able to continue his studies due to ill health. Adam was in charge of the youth choir in Holy Ghost Parish. He was involved with the Polish Scouting Association (ZHP) He was predeceased by his parents, Jan and Janina. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, April 7 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Boniface Cathedral, 190 avenue de la Cathedrale, with interment to follow in the Cathedral Cemetery. Viewing will be held one half hour prior to the Mass. Adam will be missed by his many friends and colleagues.
