Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryADONAI MARION Peacefully, on April 3, 2000, with his family at his side, Adonai Marion passed away at the Centre Medico Social De Salaberry in St. Pierre-Jolys, MB at the age of 92 years. Besides his wife Armande, he is survived by his sons, Ernest (Paule) and Ronald; his daughters, Doris (Tony) Morin, Laura Penner, Edith (Michael Antonio) Clark, Paulette (Roger) Vermette, Marielle (Gerald) Hoffman. He leaves to mourn his brothers, Philippe (Renee) and Gerard (Therese) his sister Rita Thornston; his brothers-in-law, Etienne Catellier and Clifford McIvor; sisters-in-law, Armande Catellier, Therese Catellier, Yvette (Pierre) Dedieu, S. Aline Catellier and Leonie Marion. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Colette, Emile (Brigitte), Francine, Suzanne (Siavash), Diana, Michel, Janette (Danny), Rachelle, Joelle (Joel), Lisa (Blake), Danette, Micheline (Eckhard), Rossel, Ronald and Jennifer; his great-grandchildren, Patrick, Marc, Darrel, Christine, Jessica, Siamak, Brenna, Braden, Lauryn and Melony; many nieces and nephews as well as by Dale (Eva) Ostrom of California. Adonai was predeceased by his parents, Albert and Antoinette; his daughter Jeannine; his grandchild Andre; his daughter-in-law Lucille; his son-in-law Eric Clark; his brothers, Edouard (Bernadette), Clement, Yvon; his sisters, Simone (Harry) Sherwood, S. Philippe Albert (Alma) his parents-in-law, Alderic and Eugenie Catellier; his sisters-in-law, Imelda Catellier, Raymonde McIvor, Simone (Joseph) Maynard, Gervaise (Rudy) Horky; his brother-in-law Aurile, Germain, Eugene (Rose) Catellier, Donat Brasseur and Art Thornston. Dad was born December 29, 1907. He was raised near St. Jean-Baptiste, MB. He farmed for over 39 years in Arnaud, MB. In 1969, he and Armande retired in St. Malo. To keep himself busy, dad built wooden toys and made Christmas decorations which he generously gave to family and friends. He also dedicated his time to the Club La Berceuse. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus. In 1995, he moved to the Chalet Malouin with mom. Shortly after, dad, needing special care, resided at The Repos-Jolys in St. Pierre. He was well-known for his cooking skills, especially his pea soup recipe. He was handy doing housework and gardening. Adonai had a knack for fixing everything. Our father was a very caring person not only to his family but to complete strangers whom he would invite for meals. Dad loved family gatherings. In November, he and mom had celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary. The family extends a special thank you to Dr. V. Suciu, Dr. A. Van Wyk, S. Yolande Marion, Una from We Care and to the staff of Repos-Jolys and the Centre Medico Social De Salaberry. In lieu of flowers, should friends so desire, donations may be made in dads memory to the Foundation Centre Medico Social De Salaberry, C.P. 320 St. Pierre-Jolys, MB R0A 1V0. Prayers will be said at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons St. on Thursday, April 6 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral mass will be held Friday, April 7 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Malo Roman Catholic Church, St. Malo, MB with Fr. Joseph Choiselat officiating. Viewing and prayers will be at 10:30 a.m. with interment in the St. Malo Cemetery. "Repose en paix cher epoux et papa."
