ALBERT FONTAINE Suddenly on Sunday, April 2, 2000 at the Ste. Rose General Hospital, Albert Fontaine passed away at the age of 75 years. Albert leaves to mourn his passing and cherish many fond memories, his loving wife Doris of Ste. Rose du Lac, MB; his six stepchildren, Susan and husband Mike Mertens of Ste. Rose du Lac, Wayne and wife Myra Rank of Ste. Rose du Lac, Richard and wife Joanne Rank of Ste. Rose du Lac, Alden and wife Valerie Rank of Ste. Rose du Lac, Corrine and husband Bob Marback of Edmonton, AB and Sheila Rank and companion Damon Nemish of Bangkok, Thailand. There are 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; one brother Paul and wife Anna Fontaine of Belgium, along with five nieces and nephews. Prayers for Albert will be offered on Friday, April 7 at 8:30 p.m. from the Ste. Rose de Lima Roman Catholic Church. Sr. Therese Cloutier will officiate. Funeral service for Albert will be held on Saturday, April 8 at 2:00 p.m. from the Ste. Rose de Lima Roman Catholic Church. Fr. Michel Nault will officiate with the interment to follow in the Ste. Rose Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Albert to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6, or to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3B 2H8. Ste. Rose Memorial Chapel, Ste. Rose du Lac, MB, in care of arrangements (204) 447-2444.
