Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALICE JOHNSON (KOCH) February 11, 1940 - April 2, 2000 Peacefully on April 2, 2000 at the St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg, Alice Johnson, age 60 years of Winnipeg, MB. Alice was born on February 11, 1940 in Ashern, MB. She grew up and received her education in Ashern, MB. For many years, Alice was employed as a Teachers Aid; most recently at the Gordon Bell High School in Winnipeg, MB. In earlier years, Alice loved going to the cabin at Steep Rock, MB with her family. Alice loved to have fun, and took great pleasure in spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a very down-to-earth person, and touched a lot of lives. She will certainly be missed by her family and all who knew her. Alices interests included bowling, cards, going to garage sales, and she was known to go to the Assiniboine Downs with her family, and was quite lucky at times with picking the winning ponies. She was an avid Bingo player, and enjoyed the company of her family at these outings. She will be sadly missed by her son Michael (Brenda) daughters Raylene (Earl), Suzanne (Barney) her grandchildren Suki, Andrew, Reba, Cody, Andrew, Kristine; brothers and sisters, in-laws and many good friends. The family would like to send a special thank you to the St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care Unit, for the great care they gave to Alice. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 8 at the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Ashern, MB, with Father Ernest Kamath officiating. Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment to follow in the Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Manitoba Cancer Treatment & Research Foundation, 100 Olivia Street, Winnipeg, MB, R3E 9Z9. Arrangements in care of: Arnason Funeral Homes Ltd.
