NELLIE BABYCH (Nee Van Rheenen) On April 5, 2000, at Park Manor Lodge, peacefully, after bravely coping with declining health for the past few years. She leaves behind her loving husband Fred; son John; daughter Tina; daughter-in-law Barbara; grandchildren Krista, Ken, Tyler, Marcus, Nicholas and Eve; also Troy Baird and family, as well as numerous relatives in the Netherlands. Nellie was born in Hilversum, Holland, on September 17, 1924, and immigrated to Canada in 1952 with her son John. Nellie and Fred were married April 18, 1953 in Winnipeg. Prayers will be said on Friday evening, April 7 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. at Luxton Avenue. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 8 at 10:30 a.m. at St. George Orthodox Church, 121 Harvard Ave. East, Transcona with Fr. Miron R. Klysh officiating. Pallbearers will be Ken and Tyler Babych, Marcus and Nicholas Baird, Nick Suprun and Mark Svendsen. Special thanks to all the staff at park Manor Lodge for the loving care given to Mom.
