Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROSE-ALMA LABOSSIERE (nee Grenier) Peacefully with her family by her side, Rose-Alma Labossiere, beloved wife of the late Clement Labossiere, passed away at the Lorne Memorial Hospital in Swan Lake, Manitoba on April 5, 2000 at the age of 82 years. She is survived by two brothers, Lucien (Novia) and Victor (Florida) all of St. Leon; and three sisters-in-law, Marthe Grenier, Claire Grenier, and Lucienne Labossiere. She was predeceased by her husband Clement in 1996; six brothers; Alcide, Adrien, Edmond, Joseph, Laurent and Albert and by one sister Lucienne Labossiere. Rose-Alma was born in St. Leon on October 10, 1917, to Felix and Marie-Louise Grenier. In 1938, she married Clement Labossiere and they farmed for numerous years in the St. Leon area, then made their residence in the town of St. Leon until 1996, then moved to the Somerset Manor where Rose-Alma was still living at the time of her death. Rose-Alma had no children of her own, but took great joy and was very close to all her nieces and nephews. She was an active member of her community and church. She was always ready to lend a helping hand. She and her sister Lucienne, were employed as painters at the St. Leon Co-op for numerous years. Rose-Alma loved gardening, cooking and playing cards with family and friends. She will be sadly missed by all. Prayers will be held at Adams Funeral Home on Friday April 7, at 8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the St. Leon Roman Catholic Church on Saturday April 8, at 2 p.m. with Father Marcel Damphousse officiating. Interment to follow in the Parish Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be her nephews, Romeo Leblanc, Arthur Labossiere, Gilbert Labossiere, Emile Grenier, Henri Grenier and Armand Grenier. Honorary Pallbearers; all those in attendance. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Swan Lake Hospital, Box 40, Swan Lake, MB R0G 2S0.
