Mom was born Helen Probizanski on October 14, 1916 in Stuartburn, MB, to Wasyl and Todosia Probizanski. Mom worked at Cosy Restaurant and Cara Operations at the Winnipeg Airport for many years until her retirement. She will always be remembered for her gracious hospitality and her ability to welcome with great warmth, anyone who entered her home. Her kitchen was her domain. Her love, cooking, and baking were her gifts to anyone who came to visit. She loved nothing more than to sit on her front porch in summertime among her flowers and especially was proud of her home-grown tomatoes. Mom always put family ahead of herself. While we will always miss her, her memory will live on in all of us, whose hearts she touched in many ways. Moms greatest love was her family and she took a keen interest in the lives of her children and grandchildren and always had words of encouragement for each and every one of them. She will always be remembered for her kind heart and generosity. Prayers will be said on Sunday, April 9 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. at Luxton Avenue. Honorary pallbearers are her granddaughters, Colleen, Christine and Tiffany. We wish to thank family and friends who visited Mom at Holy Family Nursing Home and Seven Oaks Hospital. To love a Mom and then to part. Is the greatest trial to the human heart. Years of striving, little of play, Loving, giving the whole of the way. A cherished smile, a heart of gold, To the dearest Mother and Baba the world could hold. Happy memories, fond and true, From us who thought the world of you. Beautiful memories are treasures ever, Of happy days when we were together. With aching hearts we whisper low, God Bless you Mother and Baba, well miss you so. Father in Heaven, hear our prayer, Guard our Mother with tender care. Be a Good Shepherd, dont leave her alone, Love her as we loved her when she was here at home.
