LAWRENCE BERT LEVERINGTON August 5, 1934 - March 28, 2000 Peacefully, after a short battle with cancer in Tillsonburg, Ont., Bert died on the anniversary of his mother (Marthas death in 1991). He is survived by his loving wife Joyce; brother Bill (Mary) of Ottawa; sisters, Lena Reeve (Ted) of Winnipeg, Menota Pickering (Art) of Sandy Hook, May Tully (Ken) of Marquette; numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends. His dog Duke will miss his daily walks. Bert was born and raised in Weston, attending Cecil Rhodes School and Daniel McIntyre High School. At a young age his musical talents were obvious as he took piano lessons and became a member of St. Matthews Anglican Boys Choir. He learned to play the organ there and continued in this field for the rest of his life by playing in numerous places around the city, Kenora, Minneapolis and even in Europe while in the R.C.A.F. Church music was the love of his life. Family and friends will miss him, his music, gusty laugh and his cooking. His love of God was evident in his music which will help us remember his life. Those we love dont go away They walk beside us every day Unseen, unheard but always near Still loved, still missed and very dear "I will lift up mine eyes unto the Lord." Psalm 121
