LEWIS CLINTON FOGG Lewis Clinton Fogg passed away peacefully, March 30, 2000 at Delta Hospital in Delta, B.C., at the age of 91 years. He was predeceased by his loving wife Dorothy in 1982; his two brothers, Charles and George and his parents. Clint is survived by his daughter Deanne MacMillan (Dave) of Delta, B.C. and his son Barry Fogg (Janice) grandchildren, Geoff Sandhurst (Corinne) of Calgary, Alta., Tannis Baker (Roger) of Maple Ridge, B.C., Heather Knight (Greg) of Delta, B.C., Sean Sandhurst (Karoline) of Calgary, Alta., Kira and Katie Fogg; step-grandchildren, Patti MacMillan of Coquitlam, B.C., Grant MacMillan (Cristina) of Madrid, Keith MacMillan of Calgary, Alta., and one great-grandchild, Caelin Sandhurst of Calgary, Alta. Clint was born on November 22, 1908 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He was a student and resident of the Knowles School for Boys from grades 4 to 9 and attended Daniel McIntyre High School where he set track and field records and participated in the Gilbert and Sullivan musicals. He graduated from the University of Manitoba with a BSc. On October, 28, 1939, Clint was united in marriage with Dorothy Lyttle in Winnipeg. His first job was at Canada Packers as an analytical chemist. Later, he and his brother Charles bought an automotive parts company and re-named it Fogg Brothers Limited. Clint became the company comptroller and it was here that Clint worked until he retired at age 65. In June of 1994, he moved to British Columbia. Over the years Clint was active in his community. He was a member of the Griffin Club of Winnipeg and was president from 1953 - 1954. He was a Life Member and associate member of the West Winnipeg Rotary Club from 1958 to present and was president in 1970 - 1971. He was also a Paul Harris Fellow and helped with a Christmas party for needy kids for so many years that it is now called the Clint Fogg Christmas Party. The Canadian Red Cross honoured Clint for giving over 75 donations of blood. Clint also became President of the Board of Directors of the Knowles School for Boys. He was a travelling (horseback) student minister in the Sandy Lake and Clear Lake area. He was an Elder and teacher of Sunday School at Maryland United church as well as a member of the choir. Clint became superintendent at Westminster United Church and at St. Andrews and River Heights United Churches. Clint will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who cared deeply for his family. He had many friends in Winnipeg, through work, Griffin Club, Rotary Club, Winter Club and recently in B.C. at the Kinsmen Retirement Centre. He loved fishing with his brother, son, grandsons and friends. He enjoyed bowling, curling and playing duplicate bridge at the Winnipeg Winter Club and found pleasure in music, nature, people and especially family. Special thanks to Dr. Craig Martin and the nurses at Delta Hospital especially Kathy, for their loving care. Thanks also to all the wonderful staff at the Kinsmen Retirement Centre who took such good care of Dad for the last three years. A very special thanks to Peggy Bottom and Gail Delaplace for their devoted care, love and friendship to our family for the last 5 and one half years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Grace General Hospital. A celebration of Dads life will be held Tuesday, April 11, at 3:00 p.m. from Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., West.
