Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySAMUEL MAURICE MILLER Samuel Maurice Miller passed away on Friday, April 7, 2000 at the St. Boniface General Hospital at the age of 86 years. Predeceased in 1990 by his wife Ellen Elizabeth Miller. Maurice leaves son Clyde R. Miller and wife Eileen; granddaughters, Diana and Catherine; and his sister Ruth Knight of Toronto. Maurice was born on November 3, 1913 in Cobalt, ON. He worked over 40 years for Sherritt Gordon Mines, retiring in 1975 from Lynn Lake, MB. He served in Europe during the Second World War with the Royal Winnipeg Rifles. Maurice was an avid hockey fan, holding the same seat at the Winnipeg Arena from 1982 to the present. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 11 at 1:00 p.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1858 Portage Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Maurices memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7.
