TERESA DIANE TOEWS Teresa Diane Toews, 47, died April 3, 2000, at her Vista home. She was lovingly cared for by her husband Les and her family and friends. Teresa was born September 6, 1952 in Ponca City, Oklahoma, first of three children born to Marvin and Henryetta Beckwith. With her family, she moved to Golden, Colorado as a young child and then to Winnipeg, Manitoba as a teenager. After graduating from high school, Teresa worked at Versatile Manufacturing doing office work. At 19, Teresa married Les Toews of Winnipeg and in January, 1977 had a son, Anthony. In April of 1979, the family moved to Vista, California and in October 1981, they had another son, Chad. Teresa and Les built many homes in Vista and she was always a strong support of her family, immediate and extended. Teresa will always be remembered for her positive, friendly attitude her beautiful warm smile and her caring spirit. She has, since 11 years old, been an active, faithful witness of Jehovah. Teresa is survived by her loving husband, Les; son and daughter-in-law Anthony and Christal; son Chad; sister Toni MacKenzie and her husband Scott; brother Mark Beckwith and his wife Shauna; father Marvin Beckwith and stepmother Miguelina; nephews and nieces and her special grandson Elijah, who brought her many smiles. Teresa will be missed by both her family and many friends. A memorial service will be held at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, April 8, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses, 860 Melrose Dr., Vista.
