IRENE ELIZABETH FENWICK (ANDREWS) Peacefully on April 7, 2000 at the Deer Lodge Centre following an inspirational battle with ALS. Irene leaves behind her loving husband Arthur, sons Ron, Don and David, daughter-in-law Louise and granddaughter Taryn, brother Ray (Betty) Andrews and sister Phyllis (Bill) Sutherland, extended family and special friends Baxter Topham-Pitt, George Lee, Cay Jorundson, and Karen Proctor. Irene was predeceased by her son Douglas in 1977. Irene was born and raised in Winnipeg and moved to Flin Flon with Arthur in 1947. In 1988 Irene and Art returned to Winnipeg to be closer to family and friends of long standing. A thank you to all of the people who cared for and visited her during her struggle with ALS and most especially home care worker, Grace, and the extraordinary staff of the Deer Lodge Centre who provided superior loving care. You are all very special people. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the ALS Society or Deer Lodge Centre. A Memorial service will be held Tuesday, April 11 at 12:30 p.m. from Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Arrangements entrusted to: Chapel Lawn Funeral Home Cemetery and Crematorium 885-9715
