Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDONALD GILCHRIST SCOTT Peacefully on Friday, April 7, 2000, Donald Gilchrist Scott, beloved husband of Mary, passed away after a tough and lengthy battle with cancer. Left now only with his memory is his wife Mary (nee West) daughters, Lynne, Windi and Kathy; ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild; his brother Tammas Scott and family and many friends who knew and loved him. He was predeceased by his brother Jim Scott. He was born and lived in Winnipeg most of his life. As a young man he served overseas in the Canadian Army Signal Corp. During the Second World War. He expressed that he enjoyed very much the fellowship of his co-employees for the 20 years that he worked at Federal Pioneer Electric followed by 18 years at Micro Tool & Machine. He was proud to be a member of the Ionic Lodge #25 A.F.& A.M. His joys in life included sailing and playing his organ and especially in his retirement travelling in his 5th wheel with Mary to Arizona and to camp outs with the Broken Busted Riders. Don had fond recollections of his youth at Victoria Beach, spending almost 50 years at his summer home there with family. He will especially be remembered and appreciated by his children and grandchildren for the encouragement and support he gave to them especially towards music which was one of his great loves. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 12th at 1:00 in St. Pauls Anglican Church, 830 North Drive at Point Rd.
