EDITH CUMMER November 20, 1907 - April 5, 2000 On Wednesday, April 5, 2000, Edith was reunited with her husband Frank (May 25, 1997). Edith will be sadly missed by her daughter Betty Cochrane of Brandon, son Gordon (Joanne) of Waterloo, ON; six grandchildren, Alison, Joel, Christopher, Gregory, Leslie and Elizabeth. She will also be remembered by other extended family, many nieces, nephews and friends. Edith was a longtime teacher, and resident in St. Vital and enjoyed her profession very much. She enjoyed community involvement in the Kinette Club, and her activism in social issues. During retirement Frank and Edith spent many years travelling through the United States and Europe. Following Franks passing Edith moved to the Souris Personal Care Home where she enjoyed her remaining years. Ediths family would like to thank the staff at St. Boniface Hospital and especially Souris Personal Care Home for their kind and compassionate care. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of ones choice. After Glow Id like the memory of me to be a happy one. Id like to leave an after glow of smiles when life is done. Id like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways Of happy times and laughing times and bright sunny days. Id like the tears of those who grieve to dry before the sun Of happy memories that I leave when life is done. Funeral service took place in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St., Saturday, April 8 at 10:00 a.m. Interment Garden of Everlasting Life, Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends followed in the Glen Eden Reception Centre. Arrangements entrusted to: GLEN EDEN FUNERAL HOME 4477 MAIN STREET 338-7111
