Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDWIN (TED) MARTIN Suddenly on April 8, 2000, at his home, Ted Martin, aged 79 years, of Victoria Beach, MB, beloved husband of Lillian. Edwin was predeceased by his parents Annie and Herbert; his only son Alan Edwin in 1964; sisters, Sally and Molly and a brother Henry. He leaves to mourn his sudden passing his loving wife of 47 years, Lillian; daughters, Wendy Tardiff (Allan) and Sandy Martin (Wayne) his grandchildren who were his pride and joy, Tracy, Crystal, Amy, Courtney, Tyler and Carlee; sisters, Fran Herold (Fred) and Ethel Wawszko (John - deceased) a brother Herbert G. Martin Jr.; numerous sisters-in-law and brothers-in-laws; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Ted was born in Victoria Beach on November 7, 1920 and had lived there all his life. He had commercial fished with his father and mink ranched before serving in the Canadian Armed Forces during the Second World War from 1939 to 1945. He then worked for the Dept. of Highways for 27 years, retiring in 1985. He then pursued his lifelong love of commercial fishing. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 11 at 2:00 p.m. in the St. Michaels Church in Victoria Beach with Rev. Fraser Hunter officiating. Viewing at the church one hour prior to service. Interment will follow in the Victoria Beach Cemetery. Honourary pallbearers will be Leonard David and Frank Stucky. Active pallbearers will be John Wawszko, Herb Martin, George Ateah, Lorne Anderson, Harry Harder and Danny Stucky. If friends so desire, donations in his memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, 301-352 Donald Street, Wpg., R3B 2H8 or to the Victoria Beach Sports Club.
