RICHARD JAMES ROIK Tragically, on Sunday, April 9, 2000 after an automobile accident, Richard James Roik passed away at the age of 24 years. Richard was predeceased by his maternal grandparents and his grandfather. Although he will be sadly missed, he will be fondly remembered by his parents, Jim and Judy Roik of Lorette, MB; his sister Gillian "Anna" of London, England; Grandmother Anne Roik; his Uncle Stephen Roik; and many friends. In 1994 Richard was proud to be in the first graduating class of the Laureate Academy. Recently, he began a new job which he truly enjoyed and met many new friends. Richard enjoyed life to the fullest. He had a wonderful smile and was always mindful of his friends and family. A celebration of Richards life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 12 at Steinbach United Church, 541 Main St., Steinbach, with the Rev. George Feenstra officiating. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the Christian Education Building. Flowers are gratefully declined.
