HELEN McINNES (nee HILL) Suddenly on April 8, 2000 our beloved mother and grandmother Helen passed away. Mom was born in Belden, ND on September 9, 1918. The family moved and settled in Rorketon, MB. Mom left home to work in Uchi Lake, ON where she met dad. They were later married in Sioux Lookout on April 6, 1941. She is survived by her son James (Judy) of Abbotsford, BC, and daughter Sharon and special friend Ken Monro of Winnipeg; grandchildren; Tyler, Erin, Monica and Sean Good of Stony Mountain and Wilfred of Winnipeg; great-granddaughter Amber, who was the light of moms life; sisters, Ailie Gower of Fork River and Sylvia Komula of Rorketon, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mom was predeceased by her husband Ivan and a son Francis; brothers, Frank and Fred, and sister Mamie. Mom enjoyed life, especially the time she spent with her family and friends. Viewing will be held on Thursday, April 13 from 7:00 p.m to 9:00 p.m. at Neil Bardal Inc. Funeral service will be held on Friday, April 14 at 11:00 a.m. at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Ave., entrance on Aubrey St. Cremation to follow.
