HELENA FEHR HARDER (nee PENNER) Peacefully on Tuesday, April 11, 2000, our beloved mom, grandmother, and great-grandmother entered her Heavenly Home. Helena was predeceased by Jacob P. Fehr in 1977 after 38 years of marriage, and George Harder in 1998 after four and one-half years of marriage. She leaves nine children, 18 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren and their families. Also left are 10 step-children and families. Mom dedicated her life to her Lord and her family, and lots of friends. She loved gardening, homemaking, driving the school bus, and sewing. She encouraged her family in music, education, and doing the best we could. In 1998 Mom came to the Morris Manor. She was hospitalized in 1999 after suffering a stroke. She then moved to the Red River Valley Lodge. Sincere thanks to the staff for their dedicated care of Mom. Funeral services will be held at the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Morris on Saturday, April 15 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow in the Winkler Cemetery. There will be viewing at Morris Funeral Home on Thursday (today) from 1:00 - 9:00 p.m., on Friday at Wiebe Funeral Home Winkler from 1:00 - 9:00 p.m., with a devotional at 7:00 p.m., and at the church prior to the service. If friends so desire, donations may be made to Child Evangelism Fellowship, 179 Henderson Hwy., Winnipeg, MB R2L 1L5; or the Valley Rehab Centre, Box 1448, Winkler, MB R6W 4B4.
