M. LABBE ROSAIRE LAMBERT M. labbe Rosaire Lambert est decede le 11 avril, a lhopital general de Saint-Boniface, a lage de 77 ans. Labbe Lambert ne le 24 octobre 1922 a La Pocatiere, Quebec, etait fils de feus Francois-Xavier Lambert et Mary Valliere. Il fit son ecole primaire a La Pocatiere (1929-36), son college a Ste-Anne-de-la Pocatiere (1936-43) ainsi que sa Philosophie (1943-45). Il obtint son B.A. de lUniversite Laval (1945). "Mapping & Surveying" 1960 a Scanton, Ohio et "Building Estimating" de lUniversite McGill (1965). Il prit sa Theologie a Saint-Boniface (1967-68) et a Edmonton (1969-71). Bac. Theologie - Newman Theological College (1971). Incardine au diocese de Saint-Boniface in 1967 il fut ordonne pretre le 13 juin 1971 en leglise Saint-Emile a Saint-Vital par Mgr. Maurice Baudoux. Il fut successivement: vicaire a La Broquerie 71; vicaire econome a Woodridge et region et vicaire a Sainte-Emile 72; cure a Fannystelle et Starbuck 75; cure a Saint-Leon 83; Otterburne 86. Il prend sa retraite en octobre 1986 et tout en demeurant a la residence Saint-Antoine il demeure en disponibilite de ministere. Il se rend comme vicaire dominical aux SS. Martyrs-Canadiens 87 et comme aumonier adjoint au Centre Hospitalier Tache 87. Il continua a rendre service aux paroisses et aux chapelles dete en besoin. Dans sa grande bonte de coeur, Rosaire etait toujours pret a rendre service. M. labbe Rosaire Lamert laisse dans le deuil: quatre freres, Richard Lambert (Riviere Ouelle), Dr. Benoit Lambert (Hull), R.P. Bernard Lambert, O.P. (Quebec) and Josaphat Lambert (Ste Foye) deux belles-soeurs: Noella (Jules) Simard (Rimouski) et Jacqueline (Pierre) Gendron (La Pocatiere). Il laisse aussi vingt-deux neveux et nieces, dont Helene Lambert. Le corps sera expose une demi-heure avant la messe. La messe aura lieu le vendredi 14 avril, a 14h00, a la Cathedrale de Saint-Boniface, 151 avenue de la Cathedrale. Linhumation aura lieu au Cimetiere de La Pocatiere (Province de Quebec). ROSAIRE LAMBERT Peacefully, on April 11, 2000, after a lengthy illness, at St. Boniface Hospital, Fr. Rosaire Lambert passed away from this life at the age of 77 years. Fr. Lambert, son of Francois-Xavier Lambert and Mary Valliere was born on October 24, 1922 in La Pocatiere, Quebec. He completed his Elementary School at La Pocatiere (1929-36), studied at College Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pocatiere (1936-43) along with Philosophy (1943-45). He obtained his B.A. from Laval University (1945). "Mapping & Surveying" was from Scanton, Ohio in 1960 and "Building Estimating" at McGill University (1965). He took Theology at St. Boniface (1967-68) and obtained a Bachelors Degree in Theology at Newman Theological College in Edmonton 1971. Incardinated in the St. Boniface Archdiocese in 1967 he was ordained to the priesthood on June 13, 1971 in St. Emile Church, in St. Vital, by Archbishop Maurice Baudoux. He was successively: assistant in La Broquerie 71; parochial administrator in Woodridge and missions and assistant in Saint Emile 72; Pastor in Fannystelle and Starbuck 75; Pastor in Saint Leon 83; Otterburne 86. He retired at Saint Antoine Residence in October 86 and while residing there, he remained open to Ministry work. He was assigned for Sunday Ministry to SS. Martyrs-Canadiens 87 and as Assistant Chaplain at Tache Centre 87. He then continued to be available for services to different parishes and to summer chapels whenever needs arose. Viewing will take place half an hour before Mass of Christian Burial. Mass will be celebrated on Friday, April 14 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Boniface Cathedral, 151 Cathedral Ave., with Msgr.
