ALBERT SMERECHANSKI (AL SMERICK) Passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2000 at the Seven Oaks Hospital. Al was predeceased by his loving partner Lynda Miller in September, 1999. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Valerie (Doug) Jones, Barry (Maria) Smerechanski, Angela (Scott) Wilkinson; grandchildren, Erin, Lindsay, Robyn and Chloe. Al enjoyed his relationships and involvement with the Odd Fellows, Samaritans and Legions. He was an entrepreneur at heart and also loved to spend time at various casinos and vacationing in Mexico. Al will always be remembered for his generous nature. Often at the centre of attention he enjoyed sharing lighthearted moments with friends and extending his gracious hospitality - making sure they were well supplied with food and drink. A prayer service will be held in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St., on Monday, April 17 at 7:00 p.m. Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 18 at 10:00 a.m. also in the chapel. Interment Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the Glen Eden Reception Centre. A thank you to the doctors and staff at the Seven Oaks Hospital and also to those special friends who continued to support and visit Al during the last year.
