EILEEN LAUREL LODGE Born June 27, 1937 After a lengthy battle with cancer, Eileen passed away quietly in her sleep with grace and dignity, on January 29, 2000. Eileen was predeceased by her parents, Fred and Lily Lodge and sister Joan Lodge. She is survived by her children: daughters, Roxanne (Mike) and Cora (Rick) son James and friend Sue. She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren, Ashley, Brandie and Donald. Eileen is also survived by brothers, Ronald (Pearl), Nick Clayton (Sandie) and Mike (Marlene) sister Joy Lougheed (Bill) and cousin Art (Myrna), as well as numerous nieces and nephews of whom she often spoke about and thought of. Eileen was born in Lac du Bonnet; she moved on to marry, start and raise a family; then found her way back home again. Eileen had a zest for life that was surpassed by none. She had an inner strength that helped her successfully raise three children on her own and still find time for herself, friends and the rest of her family. Eileen loved to garden, read novels and of course, her passion...travelling. Eileen (MOM) will leave a hole in our hearts and lives that will never be filled. I would like to thank all of Eileens brothers, sister and family who visited, brought gifts and spent precious time with our mom in her last months. I know it meant a lot to her and us kids. Thank you to Rose Kawolchuk for all her help and time. The family would also like to thank Dr. Dueck, the nurses and nurses aides at Beausejour Hospital. Their support during this difficult time made it easier on everyone. A Big Thanks to hospital volunteer Lenore Erickson - we will not forget the hours you spent being there for Eileen. To all the relatives and friends for gifts, cards and visits...Thank You! Memorial Services will be in Lac du Bonnet at Russell Funeral Home on April 17 at 1:00 p.m.
