NELLIE COOK (MOWAT) On April 14, 2000 at the Selkirk General Hospital, Nellie Cook, aged 83 years, of Selkirk, beloved wife of John Edward (Dony) Cook. Besides her husband she leaves surviving six sons, Fred (Caroline), John (Roxie), Phillip, Robert (Melody), Kenny and David; a daughter Barbara (Ralph) numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives and close friends, including Ruth Shead, Violet Lavallee, Jessie and John Sparks, Olive Lillie, Olive Adams, Liz Chambers and Linda and Myrtle Johannson. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Nellie was born in Norway House on March 7, 1917 and has lived in Selkirk since her marriage to Dony in 1942. She was a dedicated wife and mother who especially enjoyed times spent with her family. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 18 at 2:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk with Pastor John Sparks officiating. Interment at St. Peters Cemetery.
