(Bob) Whitten, beloved husband of Sylvia of High River and formerly of Calgary, passed away at the High River Hospital on Friday, March 31, 2000 at the age of 66 years. Bob was born and raised in Elgin, MB. and later met and married Sylvia Seaman of Estevan, SK. They finally settled in Calgary in 1963 where they raised their family of three fine kids. Bob was employed with Commonwealth Construction and later with PCL Braun-Symon Ltd. His involvement in community service included the Lions Club of Calgary, Willow-Ridge Community Association and minor hockey at the city and provincial level. Bob was personally committed to helping family and friends and people in need wherever and whenever he could. Along with his loving wife, Bob is survived by three children, son Christopher of Calgary, son Jeffery and wife Mary of Minneapolis, MN. and daughter Deanne and two grandchildren, Lindsay and Tyler, all of Boulder, CO. He is also survived by two brothers and two sisters, Oswald Whitten of Winnipeg, MB, Wallace Whitten of Boissevain, MB, Vera (Bill McMechan) of Edmonton and Donna (Cal Magee) of Melfort, SK. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made to a charity of the donors choice.
