WILLIAM (BILL) SAMUEL ASH 1909 - 2000 It is with deep sadness, that we the family of William (Bill) Ash announce his peaceful passing at the Jocelyn House on Wednesday, April 12, 2000 at the age of 90 years. William was born at his parents farm in Edrans, MB. He met his wife Ida in Melfort, SK while working there and married her in 1933 in Winnipeg. They farmed in Edrans District until William joined the R.C.A.F., serving in the Military Police. After the war years, he owned and operated Holmes Carburetor Service with his partner, Roy Docking. He was always proud of the fact that he and Roy never had an argument during their 23 years in business. Upon retirement, Bill enjoyed music, hobbies and travelling. He conducted his life with dignity and honour. He had a kind gentle spirit, displaying great love of family and unparalleled devotion to his wife Ida of 65 years. Bill leaves a legacy anyone would be proud of. His memory will continue through the love and respect of his family, two sons; one daughter; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
