ELAINE HUDSON (nee COURCHENE-TWOHEART) After a lengthy illness, Elaine Hudson peacefully passed on with her loved ones nearby, on Wednesday, April 12, 2000, at the age of 48. Elaine is survived by her daughter Jamie Nguyen, husband Van Skipp, grandchildren, Darryl and Paula; son Conrad and grandchildren, Chrissy, Lynsay, Tyler and Destiny. Husband Lawrence (Larry) Hudson; brother Stanley, wife Patsy; brother Ben, wife Patricia; brother Harold (Chipper) sister Olga Woods; aunt Agnes (Chimall), husband Glen and auntie Theresa Courchene and cousins. Elaine was predeceased by her daughter Paula Blossom September 30, 1984, niece Cynthia Twoheart May 9, 1999 and cousin Gary Twoheart August 29, 1997. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and all the staff on the 5th floor at the St. Boniface Hospital for all the care and time spent with Elaine and family during her time in need. Elaine had a loving way with everyone she knew. One thing about her that stood out was her sense of humour. She brought laughter with her, wherever she went. Elaine shared her last moments peacefully with all her family close to her. She was a caring mother and grandmother to her children and grandchildren. Elaine was a sister to all her cousins. She always opened her home and heart to everyone. She was known for her Bingos - everyone got to know her at most Bingo halls. She developed many friendships through her years. In her last days she reminded us of the kind of person everyone knew her to be as, caring and with a sense of humour. Prayers will be held on Wednesday, April 12 at Gail (Ruth) Courchenes residence (Townside) in Fort Alexander. The funeral will be held on Monday, April 17, at Fort Alexander, at 2:00 p.m. at the Roman Catholic Church with Father Paradis presiding. Pallbearers for the service will be, Edwin Twoheart, Stanley Twoheart, Benjamin Twoheart, Darryl Nguyen, Conrad Courchene, Adolph Twoheart, Paul Guimond and Harold Twoheart.
