JOHN WYLYCHENKO October 20, 1915 - April 12, 2000 It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our dear husband, father and Gido, John Wylychenko at Maples Personal Care Home on April 12, 2000 at the age of 84 years after a long illness with Alzheimers. John was born on October 20, 1915 in Winnipeg, Man. and resided in Dallas, Man. all of his life. He spent his years in the pulpwood industry and farming, until illness forced him away from the life he loved. Johns special interests in life included his love for the outdoors, fishing, hunting and spending time with his close friends and family. He will be missed for his quiet, yet good-natured and witty sense of humour that his family grew to love. John was predeceased by his father Michael in 1923; his mother Helen in 1968; his brothers, Paul, Peter and Metro and his sisters, Annie and Mildred. John leaves to mourn his beloved wife of 60 years, Mary (nee Chernichan) his son Kenneth and wife Anne; his daughter Valeree and five grandchildren, Venessa, Lyndon, Deena Marie, Adam and Jessica. He is also survived by two sisters, Tinnie and Ollie and numerous nieces and nephews. A private family viewing will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, April 17, followed by prayers at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Funeral service will take place on Tuesday, April 18 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel with the Very Rev. Fr. John Melnyk officiating. Interment will follow at the Elmwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Adam Wylychenko, Michael Wylychenko, Gerald Wylychenko, Nicholas Shindak, Barry Skene and Lyndon Schreyer. Honorary pallbearers will be Bethuel Stevenson, Michael Stevenson, Peter Glauser, Frank Wilson, Arnold Wilson, Robert Schreyer and Arnold Sinclair. The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff of Maples Personal Care Home for their love and patience in caring for John. In lieu of flowers, donations in Johns memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 943-6622. God looked around His garden and found an empty space. He then looked down upon this earth and saw your tired face. He put His arms around you and lifted you to rest. Gods garden must be beautiful, He only takes the best. We love you and will forever miss you. Rest in Peace. Arrangements entrusted to Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St., 586-8044. VICHNAYA PAMYAT
