LILLIANE MARIE DOERKSEN (nee LAROCQUE) After 73 years, of blessing others with her love, Lilliane Marie Doerksen (Larocque) peacefully passed away to her eternal home to meet her saviour, Jesus Christ with her family at her side, early Friday morning, April 14, 2000. Left to rejoice in her memory are her loving husband Isaak of 50 years and nine children, Diane (Peter), Leonard, Garry (Marlene), Ken (Sharon), Bev (Rick), John, Lorraine, Marie, Darlene (Cameron) 17 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and special friends Ingrid and Noel Boux. Lilliane was predeceased by her parents, Victor and Alice Larocque (Hupe) of Richer, Man. Lilliane is survived by her siblings Jeanette Trudeau (George), Luciene (Diane), Marcel (Anita), Adelard (Jinette), Emily Rioux (Charles), her Godchild Evelyn Gauthier (Vianne), and their combined 31 children. Lilliane was September 15, 1926, in Richer, Man. She formed her relationship with God at an early age and devoted her life to spreading his love. At 16, Lilliane moved to Winnipeg to help support her family, first working as an apprentice with the Grey Nuns, caring for patients at the St. Boniface Hospital. She then worked as a pastry chef at the Royal Alexander Hotel, where she met her loving husband Isaak. Lilliane then devoted her life to raising her nine children and her very special grandson, Matthew. She was a loving wife and mother, whose kindness and generosity touched all that had the privilege of knowing her. Her family was blessed with her kindness, patience, wisdom and compassion. Lilliane had a remarkable gift for making all of her loved ones feel special, and she will always be remembered for her spirit of giving. She leaves behind her a legacy of great love, and we will hold her memory dearly in our hearts forever. The family wishes to extend thanks to Lillianes personal physician, Dr. A. Mehta and staff at the I.C.U. and Palliative Care Unit at St. Boniface Hospital. A service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 18 at the Springs of Living Water Church, 595 Lagimodiere Blvd. Interment will follow in the Garden of Christ the Redeemer at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens.
