ALLAN VICTOR SINCLAIR SR. April 4, 1928 - April 14, 2000 Peacefully on Friday, April 14, 2000, Allan Sinclair Sr. passed away at the Fisher River Personal Care Home at the age of 72 years. Allan is survived by his children, Edith (Russell) Bear, Sharon Boulette, Sherman (Linda) Fred, Allan Jr., Addie (Terry) Stevenson and Laverne (Robert) Mankewich; his sisters, Mary Cochrane and Helen (Norman V.) Murdock, as well as 23 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Allan was predeceased by his wife of 47 years Elsie; his son Bobby; his sisters, Violet and Edith; his brothers, Joe and Harry; and his brother-in-law Walter Cochrane. Allan had various jobs such as fishing, logging and mining as well he enjoyed cooking. It was his vision to be able to travel into remote areas to minister and he was very determined to accomplish his goals. Allan was an ordained minister with the United Church for 10 years. He pastored in Gods Lake Narrows for three years and then moved to Berens River where he stayed for two years. He travelled extensively in northern Manitoba and into Ontario and especially enjoyed meeting people. The family would like to thank the staff of the Fisher River Personal Care Home for their kindness and care given during the time Allan spent there. A wake service will be held on Monday, April 17, at 8:00 p.m. at the Fisher River House of Prayer, with Pastor Lawrence Murdock officiating. A wake service will also be held on Tuesday, April 18, at 8:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 19, at 2:00 p.m. Both services will be held at the Stevens Memorial United Church, Fisher River, Manitoba with Rev. Gloria Muskego officiating. Interment will follow at the Fisher River Community Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Anderson Family Funeral Home, Ashern, Manitoba, 1-204-768-3606.
