FRANK GEORGE FARNFIELD It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Frank George Farnfield at the Victoria Hospital on Saturday, April 15, 2000 at the age of 95. He leaves to mourn his loving wife Eileen; daughter Geraldine (Ken) son Ronald; grandsons, Thomas, Malcolm and David; Eileens son Paul (Fran) and their daughters, Krista and Lisa. The surviving members of his family in England are brother Leonard; sister Phyllis (John) nieces Elizabeth and Susan and nephew Paul. He was predeceased by his first wife Mary in 1983. Frank emigrated to Canada from England at an early age settling in Solsgirth, Manitoba to work on a farm. He moved to Winnipeg and joined the T. Eaton Company in 1929, working in the Mens Clothing section as a shipper, receiver and salesman on the main floor. He participated in various employee activities and particularly enjoyed curling and playing bridge with them. He retired in 1969 after 40 years of service. Frank enjoyed many activities after his retirement. He particularly looked forward to spending the winters in Sebring, Florida with Eileen for the last 13 years. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 18, at 10:00 a.m. at Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Hwy. #1 East at Green Acres Lane. Interment to follow after the service.
