KATHERINE GLORIA ARROYO (PENNER) R.N. Peacefully on April 16, 2000, at the Health Sciences Centre, with her husband and daughters at her side, Kathy passed away into the presence of her Lord. For the past 18 years, Kathy pursued a nursing career at the Seven Oaks Hospital, and prior to that she was employed as a nurse in the Swan Valley Hospital, Swan River. Kathy will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband Jose; daughter Kaylyn; step-daughter Jacqueline; parents Menno and Pauline Penner; brothers Cliff (Tammy) and Virgil; sister Jennie; nephews, Christopher (Kimbre), Justin, Jeff, Patrick, Kurtis, Randy and niece Jolene, numerous members of extended family, and many close friends. The family would like to extend special thanks to the Concordia Emergency staff and the I.C.U. and 4D staff at the Health Sciences Centre for their kindness, compassion and care. Viewing was held Monday, April 18, at the Braeside Evangelical Mennonite Church, 1011 Munroe Ave., Winnipeg, followed by Funeral services on Tuesday, April 18 (today) at 11:00 a.m. at the same location, with Pastor Ron Penner officiating. A second service will be held on Wednesday, April 19, 2:00 p.m. at the Swan Valley Mennonite Church near Swan River, with interment to follow in Riverside Cemetery.
