ADA YVONNE APPIAH 1929-2000 Peacefully on Sunday, April 16, 2000 at the Riverview Health Centre, Ada passed away at the age of 70. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Yvonne and her son Ken (Lynette) grandchildren, Vashti and Vanessa. Also her sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband George in 1964 and son Allan in 1971. The family would like to thank the many physicians and professionals who cared for mom during her illness. Also a special thank you to Dr. Marr and the extremely wonderful nursing staff at Riverview Health Centre, Palliative Care Ward for the devoted care for mom. Viewing will be held on Wednesday, April 19, at 4:00 p.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1501 Waverley Street. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 19, at 4:30 p.m. also in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3C 2B7. The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil; for Thou art with me Thy rod and Thy staff, they comfort me. Thou dost prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; Thou hast anointed my head with oil; My cup overflows. Surely goodness and loving kindness will follow me all the days of my life, And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. We love you Mom and will miss you forever, Rest in peace.
