BENJAMIN LEHMANN REIMER Benjamin Lehmann Reimer was born on October 29, 1906 and passed away at the Rest Haven Nursing Home in Steinbach on April 16, 2000. Dad was born in Steinbach to Cornelius W. and Anna Reimer on October 29, 1906. Dad was an active member of the community, serving on many boards and committees, both in the farming community and the Evangelical Mennonite Church. His special interests included travel, reading and socializing. Dad was predeceased by his wife Elizabeth in 1993; his son Gilbert in 1974 and by all nine of his brothers and sisters. We rejoice in the fact that he has been reunited with them. He is survived by son Cliff (Diana) and their children, Corinne Klassen (Mel), Heather Winser (Wayne), Doug Reimer (Mary) and Keith Reimer (Marnie) son Lawrence; daughter-in-law Jean Barsness (Alton) and children, Glen Reimer (Ruth) and Betts Greiner (Bevan) daughter Evangeline Doerksen (Monroe) and children, Renee Klassen (James), Keven Doerksen (Dianne) daughter Noreen Klassen (Ernie) and children, Andrea Dyck (Gary), Joel and Dana. There are also 14 great-grandchildren. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the staff of Rest Haven Nursing Home for their loving and respectful care of our father during the last 11 years. It has been greatly appreciated. The funeral will be held at the Evangelical Mennonite Church, 422 Main St. in Steinbach at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 20. Viewing will be held on Wednesday, April 19 between 8:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the Evangelical Mennonite Church Chapel. Donations in his memory may be made to the Rest Haven Nursing Home in Steinbach.
