Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKENNETH PETER LEPPKY Suddenly without warning, Kenneth Peter Leppky, born July 17, 1944, passed away on April 16, 2000. Ken was predeceased by his father Peter H. Leppky in 1992 and his daughter Lesley Suzanne in 1980. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Roberta and his sons, Travis and wife Jay Lynn of Winnipeg and Trent of Otterburne. He is also survived by his mother Susan of Transcona; his brothers, Jim and wife Barb of Togo,Sask., Murray and wife Grace of Winnipeg and his sister Debra Pearson and husband Clay of Transcona. His father and mother-in-law Maurice and Mary Condon of St. Pierre, as well as in-laws, Jack and Chris Condon of Charleswood, Bill and Bev Condon of Portage, Dave and Maureen Reuber of Walkerton, Ontario and Hugh and Beckie Condon of Thompson. Also, nieces and nephews, Pat, Trevor, Jeff, Raenel, Rebecca Leppky, Keith and Andrew Pearson, Darcy, Daidre, Eric, Jacklyn and Eric Concon and Michael, James, Patricia and Leanne Reuber. Ken grew up on a farm in the community of Tourond. After high school in Niverville he took Agriculture at the University of Manitoba. In 1967 he married Roberta Condon. Upon graduation he and Roberta moved to London, Ont. in 1970 where their boys were born. They were transferred to Saskatoon in 1975 and shortly after returned to Manitoba and purchased a dairy farm in Otterburne, Man. Promoting Manitoba Dairy Farmers as a Director of The Manitoba Milk Board was a passion for Ken for the past decade. He served on many committees for the Manitoba Milk Board, Dairy Farmers of Canada, Dairy Bureau of Canada and Western Milk Pool which combined represented service at a National, Regional and Provincial Level. He also served as a member of the executive for The Manitoba Milk Board from 1995 to 2000. In addition, he served other organizations such as The Manitoba a Safety Council and The University of Manitoba (Faculty of Agriculture). Although his accomplishments were many, he truly cherished his family and friends. Ken was well known and liked by many friends from all over Manitoba and Canada who he met over the years. His energetic, fun loving personality allowed him to make acquaintances easily. However, it was his sincerity and genuine concern which made the acquaintances into friends. Pallbearers for the service will be John Klippenstein, Edwin Loeppky, Neil VanRyssel, Marc Raffard, Trevor Leppky, Darcy Condon. The funeral service will be held at the Chortitzer Mennonite Church, 99 1st Ave. South, Niverville, Man. on Thursday, April 20 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in the Niverville Cemetery. Donations in his memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation and to Mennonite Central Committee. Arrangements entrusted to Loewen Funeral Chapel of Steinbach, 204-326-1351.
