Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCLIFFORD ALLAN RUNCHEY Peacefully, after a lengthy illness, Clifford Allan Runchey passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2000 at the age of 81. He will always and forever be in our hearts. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 55 years, Hazel Jean Runchey. He is survived by his children, Allan (Carol), Sharon (John) Panting of Calgary, Mavis Metcalf and Doug (Erin) of Vancouver; plus seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; his sister Margaret (Orval) McDonald of Portage la Prairie; brother Keith (Kay) of Saskatoon. Cliff was born December 17, 1918 at Hamiota, MB to Allan Runchey and Minerva Lief. He was predeceased by his parents and by his brothers, Earl and Russ. Cliff was employed at Canada Packers for 38 years, retiring in 1981. He enjoyed playing baseball, bowling, golf and spending time at the cottages, first in Grand Marais and later at Nutimik Lake in the Whiteshell. At Cliffs request cremation has taken place, and a private family memorial service will be held. Flowers gratefully declined. Those who wish may make a donation in his name to a charity of their choice. The family would like to thank Dr. Pacin and the staff at Victoria General Hospital for their care and kindness.
