PETER CODE It is with great sadness that we, the family of Peter Code, announce the sudden passing of this fun loving, compassionate man. Peter quietly passed away at his home, Friday, April 14, 2000 in the company of his loving wife Olga. Peter was born in Dauphin in 1921 and at the age of two, came with his family to live in McCreary, MB. He married Olga Kutcher on December 29, 1943 and together they began farming in the McCreary district. In 1968, Olga, Peter and family moved to the Town of McCreary where they resided until passing. Peter will be greatly missed by his many friends and acquaintances. He was actively involved in the majority of McCrearys improvement projects and gave selflessly of both his time and physical energy. Peters accomplishments were many, but some of his happiest moments came when he was able to help or share with others. Peter took great delight in simple pleasures such as fishing with friends, playing a great hand of cards or telling a story that made someone laugh. Peter will be lovingly remembered by his wife Olga; daughter Catharine (Murray) son Clifford (Lynn) grandchildren, Jeffrey and Susan Adolph and Erin Leigh Code. He is also survived by his sister Beatrice "Dolly" Falk (John) brother Dan (Polly) and many nieces and nephews. Peters family was central to his life and he treasured each member and their special moments together. Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 18 at Knox United Church in McCreary. Rev. Colin Grambo officiated and Steve Gingera offered the eulogy. Interment followed at the McCreary Cemetery. He died as he lived, everyones friend, Upright and just in all his ways Loving and kind to the end of his days. We saw him suffer, heard him sigh, We could do nothing but sit close by, We have lost, but heaven has gained, One of the best the world contained.
