ALEX BALONYK Suddenly, on April 18, 2000 Alex Balonyk, beloved husband of Elsie passed away at the Concordia Hospital at the age of 64 years. Besides his beloved wife Elsie, left to mourn his passing are his stepchildren, son Dennis, daughter Charlene (Glenn) two grandchildren, Jennifer and Ryan, who he loved the most. Also left to mourn his passing are his brother Peter (Agnes) sisters, Evelyn (Bill), Diane, Lucy (Gordon) and his father-in-law Walter (Esther) brother-in-law Harry (Alice) sisters-in-law, Zenovia (Leonard), Evelyn, numerous nieces and nephews, relatives, friends and co-workers. He was predeceased by his mother Julia in January of 1989 and his father Michael in 1951. At Alexs request, cremation has taken place. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 25 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michaels Ukrainian Catholic Church, 400 Day St. Rev. Msgr. V. Bozyk officiating, assisted by Rev. Deacon M. Krochak. Interment to follow at Transcona Cemetery. A special thank you to District 4 and the staff at Concordia Hospital for all their care and compassion, as well as Msgr. Bozyk and Deacon Krochak.
