CATHERINE MORGAN (nee KYRYLUK) March 8, 1916 - April 19, 2000 Peacefully after a lengthy illness, Catherine passed away with her family near by, on Wednesday, April 19, 2000. She will be sadly missed by her husband Henry of 64 years; her older brother John; her daughters, Shirley Schwark (Jim), Rosa Halabiski (Bob) sons, Gary, David (Louise), Terry and Dennis (Kathleen). Also grieving her loss are several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and countless nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by both parents, son Patrick, 16 months, on December 31, 1950, and Donald on April 15, 1991. Catherine was a kind and giving lady who always put her family ahead of herself. She had many different jobs when her children were growing up. She worked as a cleaning lady and babysitter for several families. She loved all children as much as her own. She worked several years in the cafeteria at Investors Cyndicate on Broadway. She loved serving the employees and spoiled them terribly. She retired at the age of 65, was called back for a day to help and retired a second time when she was 70 years old. She loved to travel, was an avid bingo player and loved Shooting Star excursions. She attended the Salvation Army and the home league most of her adult life. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of St. Boniface Hospital for all of the care and kindness she received in their care. She was a patient that would not ask for anything, and she was sorry for bothering them when they helped her. Flowers are gratefully declined. If you wish, donations can be made to the Cancer Society, Diabetes or Heart Foundation. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at the St. Vital United Church, 937 St. Marys Rd., on April 25, at 2:00 p.m.
