MILDRED NORA TURNBULL (nee) HARRISON Suddenly after a brief illness, Mildred (Millie) Turnbull passed away on April 14, 2000 in the St. Boniface Hospital. Millie was born in Erickson, MB and was raised in Scandinavia, MB. In 1940, she moved to Winnipeg where she worked at various jobs, the Nutty Club, Onion Factory, Cordite Plant and the Advocate Printers. Millie enjoyed shopping, playing the lotteries, game shows and going out for lunch with her longtime friend Ann Leach. She touched everyone that met her and she will remain in our hearts and thoughts forever. She was predeceased by her husband John and by her son George and by her five brothers and sisters, Eric, Roy and Albert Harrison, Violet Tomlinson and Edith Wall. She will be greatly missed by her five children, Richard Orr (Joni), Donna Lamb (David), Beverley Tsutsumi (Mitsuo), Heather Turnbull (David) and Christopher Turnbull (Pamela) by her five grandchildren, Jennifer Lamb, Ryan, Roxie and Ashley Tsutsumi and Daniel Lamb. Surviving siblings are Elsie Christopherson and Charles Harrison. Cremation has taken place. According to Millies wishes, there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 301-352 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB, R3B 2H8 or to the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB, R3A 1P6.
