Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPAULINE CHAYKOWSKI 1900 - 2000 Peacefully on Wednesday, April 19, 2000, Pauline Chaykowski, our mother and Baba, passed away at the Betel Home in Selkirk with her loving family at her side. Pauline was born on April 5, 1900, in Poland and immigrated to Canada in 1929 with her son Michael, to be with her loving husband Harry. They resided in Garson, Man., until 1940 and then to Selkirk until her passing. Mother was a member of the Holy Eucharist Church in Selkirk for many years. Pauline had resided at the Betel Home since 1990 and had recently celebrated her 100th birthday 11 days ago with family, friends, neighbours and staff. She was predeceased by her parents and sister in Poland and by her husband Harry on December 23, 1980. Left to mourn her passing are her son Michael (Minnie) Chaikoski, their four children and seven grandchildren; daughter Jennie (Stanley) Witwicki and their daughter Andrea (Bruce) Thomas and their two sons of Montreal, Que. The family sincerely appreciates the loving care and concern given to Pauline by the nurses and staff of the Betel Home. Prayers will be said on Monday, April 24, at 7:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 25, at 10:30 a.m. in the Holy Eucharist Church, the Celebrant will be Fr. Harry Oliynek. Interment will follow at the Notre Dame Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Betel Home Foundation, 212 Manchester Ave., Selkirk, Man., R1A 0B6, with thanks. As long as we live, we will always be glad, Grateful and proud of the mother we had. Never more than a thought away, Quietly remembered every day.
