Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLESLIE FREDERICK KEANE MASON Les passed away with the same dignity that he lived life, surrounded by family on April 14, 2000 in Victoria, BC. He was born in Delia, Alberta December 4, 1913. Les was a loving caring husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was predeceased by his dear wife Orlah in 1999. Les is survived by his sister Gladys (White) Brother Ken (Edith), Violet Mason; daughters, Gwenda (Wayne Allen) and Holly (Rick Jeffery) his step-daughter Carin Lewis (Bill) and step-son Chris Rush (Connie). His grandchildren, Taylor, Tim and Kathy, Doug (Jean), Marla (Holly), Bob, Ted (Martha), Paul (Denise), Joanne (John) great-grandchildren, Stephanie and Derek, Drew, Melissa, Zackary and Corinne and special friend Bill Lewis; as well as Shirley and Joan Robinson. The many journeys of his life took him from Delia to the Lakehead, from Brandon to Winnipeg and finally Victoria. Les was loved and greatly respected by all who knew him. He loved nature and the outdoors. He also had a fondness for animals, especially horses and dogs. He enjoyed many happy hours as a hunter, golfer and a curler. He also had a special touch as a woodworker. Les will be remembered with love and respect for his generosity, friendship, honesty and appreciation of life and family. He was a good man that will be sadly missed by many friends and relatives across this country that he loved and served. A Memorial Service will be held for Les in Winnipeg at Mclure United Church, 533 Greenwood St. on Friday, April 28 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the Victoria Hospice Society, 1900 Fort, Victoria, BC V8R 1J8.
