She was born in the Misericordia Hospital on October 1, 1919, the daughter of Sybil Verena (nee Payne) and Robert William Brough. Her early years were happy ones, lived in a large, tree-lined, sunny, Raglin Road home situated on the bank of Omans Creek. She attended local schools, where she consistently excelled academically and then the University of Manitoba. In 1940 she married Gordon Ernest Heidrick. They had one son. Her family were charter members of the Elmhurst Golf and Country Club where she and her son Ted enjoyed many years. She followed in her fathers chosen profession with the Canadian Pacific Railway, later Via Rail retiring with a gold watch for over 25 years of faithful service. Her memory will forever be cherished by her loving son Dr. Theodore Robert Heidrick, his wife Dr. Sandra Heidrick, and their three children, Theodore Johann, his wife Michelle, and their son, Alexander Theodore; Elizabeth Sandra and her son Tyr; Kristjan Robert; one brother Judge Robert William Brough of Vancouver and family. Her family gratefully thank the staff of Central Park Lodge, Poseidon Bay, Misericordia Place and especially Linda Collette for the loving care of our mother. Her family will observe her wishes; there will be no service by request. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of ones choice. The last gift of love is memory.
