Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTEFAN MAJCHRZAK On Friday, April 21, 2000, Stefan Majchrzak, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away at Meadowood Manor after a brief illness. Stefan was born December 16, 1912, in Helenow, Poland. He spent many years in the Polish Army and became a prisoner of war in Germany. After the war, Stefan worked on a farm and later migrated to Canada in 1947. In Canada, he worked at various mines, settling in Lac du Bonnet in 1967. Stefan and Mary moved to Kelowna, B.C., in 1989, returning to Winnipeg in 1992. Stefan will be lovingly remembered by his wife Mary Horbatiuk, three step-children, Gladys Homenuik, Peter Gula, Laurie (Larry) Horbatiuk; several grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Prayers and Divine Liturgy to be held on Wednesday, April 26, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michaels Ukrainian Catholic Church, 400 Day Street with Mosgr. V. Bozyk and Deacon Michael Krochak officiating. Interment to follow at Transcona Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, if friends so wish, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimers Society, 120 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB. Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
