DMYTRO KOZAK It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Dmytro Kozak on Good Friday, April 21, 2000 at the Health Science Centre. Dmytro will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by his wife Stefania of 54 years and their children Jerry (Arline), Olga (Dennis) and Lucy. Grandpa will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Chris and Jenn Kozak, Kristen and Steven Beyak. Also left to mourn is his sister Evhenia; nephew Steve (Gwen) niece Lorette (Norbert) and numerous relatives all in Ukraine. Dmytro was born in selo Veleky Lubianki, Ukraine on December 7, 1921. He came to Canada in 1949 and worked for Cowin Steel Co. all his working life for a total of 39 years, retiring in 1987. During his life in Canada, Dmytro was very much involved in his Ukrainian community and served in organizations - Institute Prosvita and the Seniors Club, Ukrainian League, and was a longtime member of Blessed Virgin Mary Church. Prayers (Panahyda) will be sung 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 25 at Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 965 Boyd Ave. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 26 also at the church with Rev. E. Hafichuk and Rev. M. Kouts officiating. Interment to follow in All Saints Cemetery. Pallbearers will be I. Karpa, M. Zubach, B. Bochna, P. Hawrysko, F. Iwanus and M. Rebec. The family would like to thank Dmytros many friends for their care, support and companionship over the years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pomich Ukraina.
