Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT JOHN HARRIS February 14, 1911 - April 22, 2000 On Saturday, April 22, 2000 Bob, aged 89, passed away peacefully at the Poseidon Care Centre in Winnipeg. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 58 years, (Eileen) Marguerite; his brother Harold (Nelly) three brothers-in-law, Robert (Helen), Irwin (Darlene), Gerald (Betty) and families; nephews, John (Joan) and Phil (Sheila) nieces, Yvonne (Gerry) and Simone and their families. Bob was born February 14, 1911 in Winnipeg. He attended Lord Roberts and Kelvin High Schools. He was employed at the RKO Paintshop and Famous Players as a display artist for a number of years. After serving with the Canadian Armed Forces during the war he started his own successful business - B & B Paintcraft. Bob enjoyed gardening and was a member of the Winnipeg Horticultural Society for 13 years. His artwork, in various mediums, hangs in the homes of family and friends. He was a member of the Winnipeg Sketch Club for several years. In earlier years he was a championship 5 pin bowler. Bob was an avid sports fan, especially baseball and golf. He was initiated into Tuscan Lodge on March 14, 1933 and was a past Master. In 1991, he received his 60 year Membership Bar from Lord Selkirk Lodge. Marguerite and family wish to thank the staff (5th floor) Poseidon for their care, especially Lynne and Donna. A special thanks to Dr. Scott Young, and friends, Bill and Lil, Stella, and Dick and Elsie. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bobs memory to the charity of your choice. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 27 at 3:00 p.m. from Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Interment and reception will follow.
