AUDREY WINTERS Peacefully, after a courageous battle, our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Aunt is finally at rest. Audrey went to sleep in death on Tuesday, April 25, 2000. Audrey, who is predeceased by her mother and father, Hilda and James Ferguson, was born May 23, 1924 in Montreal, Quebec and moved to Winnipeg in the early 1940s where she lived out her life. Audrey was a warm and giving person who loved children and had a long list of young charges in her care throughout the years all of whom adored her. She had the ability to put a smile on the face of anyone who was blessed enough to have known her. One of the most remarkable traits she possessed was her strong faith in Jehovah God. She was a devout Jehovahs Witness who now looks forward to everlasting life in Jehovahs New Kingdom. She is survived by Jordan Winters, her loving daughters, Bonnie Winters of Winnipeg, Shelley Hooper of Winnipeg; her son Robert Winters of Ontario; her precious grandchildren, Sarah, Rachel, Darren and Candace; brothers Irvin Ferguson of Winnipeg, Everett Ferguson of Moncton, New Brunswick; sister Jackie Currie of Toronto, Ont., and numerous nieces and nephews. We would like to thank the staff at Riverview Health Care for her care and special thanks to Sonia, Les and Peggy Hinds for their unending kindness and support. Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, April 28 at the Kingdom Hall Centre of Jehovahs Witness, 227 Lakewood Blvd., with Mr. Anthony Kushniruk officiating.
