CORY DAWN LEPP On Monday, April 24, 2000 Cory Dawn Lepp aged 20 years, left us tragically to be with her Lord. Cory leaves to mourn and cherish her memory, her son; Owen Lepp, her parents: Art and Marj (Fuller) Lepp; one brother Bryan Lepp all of Winnipeg, MB, grandparents; William and Agnes Lepp of Steinbach, MB and Luella Kennedy of Winnipeg, MB. She also leaves special friend Lindsay as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Cory will be remembered proudly by her family as an excellent mother, wonderfully caring daughter and big sister and a good friend to all who knew her. She attended school in Brandon, Thunder Bay and Winnipeg and graduated grade twelve through correspondence with Villa Rosa. With guidance from the staff at Villa Rosa she was taught precious parenting gifts and skills that were evident through her short life as a devoted mother. After leaving Villa Rosa she took a Health Care Aid course at the Misericordia Hospital in Winnipeg and graduated in June of 1999. She started working at Oak View Place in July of 1999 in Winnipeg and enjoyed the staff and residents on One North thinking of them as family. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. This poem was written by Cory for her unborn child while she was attending classes at Villa Rosa. Candlelight A child, a flame thats lit, is brought about by wax and wick. A child, a flame that burns, begins a tiny spark but grows, A child, a flame that glows, brings warmth and happiness to all. A child, a flame that shines, fills a room with joy and light. A child, a flame that flickers in the wind, vulnerable yet strong. A child, a flame thats bright, helps guide the way in life. A child, a flame that melts the wax, reflects the years gone by. A child, a flame, so much the same. - Cory Lepp With guidance from God the flame will be carried on by Mom, Dad and Bryan to raise Owen to be the caring young man she wanted him to be. Spread your wings and fly for the dreams you have always wanted. Funeral service will be held from the Graysville United Church in Graysville, MB on Monday, May 1, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Val Cottrill officiating. Interment will take place in the family plot at Greenwood Cemetery, Carman, MB. A Trust Fund has been established in the name of Owen Lepp. Anyone wishing to contribute may do so at the Royal Bank, Roblin and Harstone Branch, 5128 Roblin Blvd., Winnipeg, Manitoba R3R 0G9. Doyles of Carman in care of arrangements.
