Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySURJIT SINGH GREWAL May 10, 1925 - April 26, 2000 Suddenly on April 26, 2000 Surjit Singh Grewal passed away at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 74 years. Surjit was predeceased by his father Jangir Singh Grewal and mother Ranjeet Kaur Grewal; brothers, Pritam Singh, Nahar Singh; sister Pritam Kaur. He is survived by his wife Bhagwan Kaur Grewal; sons, Surinder Singh (Gurmeet Kaur) and Samsher Singh. Also surviving are brothers, Nachatar Singh, Parmjit Singh, Karmjit Singh; sister Surjit Kaur; grandchildren, Jaswinder Pal Singh Grewal, Armit Pal Kaur Grewal and Manpreet Kaur Brar; nephew Harmail Singh (Hushiar Kaur) Brar; numerous nephews, nieces, relatives and friends, in Philippines, India, Canada and U.S.A. Surjit was born in Moga, Punjab India. He was well respected throughout the East Indian community of Winnipeg. He was past president of Sikh Society of Manitoba. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 29 at 3:00 p.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1501 Waverley St. Bhog follows at 5:00 p.m. at The Sikh Society of Manitoba, 1244 Mollard Rd., Winnipeg, MB.
